Joshwa’s previous professional experience includes Project officer for both National Organization of Peer Educators and Center for Disease Control. He published ‘Understanding for Kibera Slum’. He is a computer Science graduate and currently an Economics student at Daystar University. Joshwa is passionate about changing his community through harnessing the power of social entrepreneurship and working with venture Space.

Brief info
Joswa is a 2018 Acumen fellow, 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow- Business and Entrepreneurship Track. He is currently Special Advisor to the Kibera Community Empowerment Organization (KCEO), which he founded in 2011 that has so far impacted more than 71,000 lives through Street Literacy, Social Entrepreneurship and Food Security Programs. In order to sustain KCEO activities, Joshwa together with his friends co-founded Kshoes - a social enterprise that partners with skilled artisans from the informal settlements in Nairobi to produce customized footwear, targeting local and international markets.
