competitiveness

Competitiveness

We will never have democracy, peace, social justice, security and safety, dignity etc until will build highly developed prosperous national economy. To have highly developed prosperous national economy first we need to be highly competitive on what you do for living. If Eritrea or Ethiopia need to improve their people living standard that they need to produce products that cheaper than Chinese, Bangladesh, Vietnamese, Dubai, Spain, Greece etc.  goods and service and higher or equal quality with American or European products and services.

There is no single product of Ethiopia that is cheaper than Chinese, Bangladesh, Vietnamese, Dubai, Spain, Greece etc goods in protected Ethiopia market. There is no service and higher or equal quality than American or European products and services in protected Ethiopia market.

There many factors that make nation-states economic competitors. The main factors are:

A, Having strong common sense of purpose

B, Political stability, rule of the law and technology

C, Cultural capacity to build effective and efficient political, security, commercial etc institution

D, Location.

Strong sense of purpose comes from strong sense of common value system, identity and belonging which Ethiopia has not. There is no political stability and rule of the law because the overwhelming Ethiopia’s populations are tribal and clannish people. Ethiopia is located very far away from the sea ports. But Tigray has strong common sense of purpose, Political stability and rule of the law and the right location that is very close to Sea ports. Western China is very backward undeveloped poor region while Eastern China is highly developed rich area. The state of Mississippi GDP per capita in 2012 was $28,944 while the state of Connecticut GDP per capita was $54,925 at the same year. If PFDJ removed and the constitution implemented Tigray can compete economically with any country in the world.

In Eritrea case that all local governments can setup their own high-rise industrial park that have modern and efficient high-rise immigrant workers dominators/camps for low and middle skilled workers and separate immigrant workers village for high skilled workers. Every industrial park can accommodate up to a million low and middle skilled immigrant workers and any immigrant workers village can accommodate up to 50,000 skilled immigrant workers and their families.  It means probably we will have about 80 local governments and about big major big cities. It means 88 industrial parks or estate’s. So Eritrea economy must designed to create industrial, offices, immigrant workers accommodations and logistics etc real estate’s that accommodate 90 million low and middle skilled workers and 10 million highly skilled workers.

Eritrean economy can grow by investment, export and consumption driven economy by combining the unlimited third world cheap labour, Israeli/western expertise and technology, Political stability, rule of the law, our strategic location, cheap money and by effective and efficient institutions. Eritrea can keep these economic models forever because third world cheap labour will never end. It means Eritrean people can generate unlimited wealth and create millions of jobs for millions skilled, semi-skilled and highly skilled immigrant workers.
