Education

Our Education should be driven by a vision that answers these questions:
• Who are the people we wish to see at the end of the educational process?
• What is our understanding of the world that they will inhabit (as opposed to the world as it is today)?
• What effect do we hope they will have on that world (or how do we hope that the world will affect them)?

      Our education should be established on the philosophy that education provides a firm foundation to every student who possesses inert potential that can be tapped, trained and groomed for the benefit of the society by building its six mental muscles that are

R = Reasoning,
I = Imagination,
M = Memory,
W = Will,
I = Intuition,
P = Perception.

We must believe in a sound education system, developing of core competencies, adaption and innovation of teaching methodology, delivery and classroom management. We must promotes the “TOTAL” student concept that develops each student intellectually, physically, spiritually and morally. We must embrace a happy, caring and learning culture that motivates each child for life-long knowledge and creative learning experience.

A strong star attitude and high expectation provides the foundation for students’ spiritual,
intellectual and physical development.

Education is a basic right in our culture.  We will have world’s first class education system that confronts PFDJ culture of low expectation, produces first class talent who commands analytical skill, problem solving abilities, critical thinking and the ability to innovate.

  We will have a maximum class of 15-20 students and 8 learning hours per day (8am- 4pm) for five days per week. That provides breakfast and lunch for all students. We must have one national curriculum. Our schools will be equally prestigious that will be equipped with sport facility, student cafeteria, libraries, laboratories and every class accesses to very fast internet broadband. There will be no private school for the elite’s children. There will be no person or company that will make profit from our education system. There will be faith education in our school, boys and girls school will be separated, no foreign government or organization run or funded school that educate Eritrean students.

         It will be illegal to allow any foreign citizen child to be educated in Eritrean school except universities and colleges. Our schools are equally accountable and transparent to who finance them that are the central government, local government, parents, and the private sector.

        Our national goals of social justice, competitiveness, sustainable prosperity, freedom, stable and happy families and communities, dignity, opportunity, human right, self reliance and democracy will be achieved 100% only when we achieve our educational goals.  This must include the Diasporas Eritrean children who are trapped in an inadequate and broken western education system.

        Every child will have right to free education from elementary to secondary schools. Every healthy child will have legal duty to attend schools until he/she finish school. Elementary, junior and secondary schools and adult collage will be financed by local government and will be managed by independent non-profit institution that run by education expert. And they will be monitored by national government.

     Universities and research centres will be build by regional government. University students will get grant by their local government to fund their university education. Parents, students, Alumni’s and business will be presented to the board of directors.
