Environment

The industrialization that happens in the last 300 years was at the expense of the environment because they have to start from basic unsophisticated technology. In our case we will start with the most sophisticated science, technology and modern management. Our environmental policy is driven by desertification, climate change, reducing CO2, global competitiveness, security of supply, price stability, opening new markets, pricing transparency and economic cost of black out. All this will be achieved mainly from energy efficiency by

  1. 30% of our land use to be covered by forest. Now only it is less than 1% of our land is covered by forest. If PFDJ stayed in power for the next three years there will be no tree at all in Eritrea. PFDJ achievement is making Asmara like Khartoum a desert city with regular sand storms. The number one victim of PFDJ in Eritrea is our environment. Burning wood for cooking and traditional animal grassing is destroying our forest and eco system. We must reforestation and aforestation 40% of our land within 25 years. Desertification is already reality in Eritrea thanks to PFDJ 25 years rule.
  2. Having a law that regulates very high by international standard energy efficiency in homes, offices, industrial facilities, all electrical appliances, designing urban area, public transport, cars, smart grid, smart electric meter etc.
  3. Development of renewable energy sources.

 

  1. Build parallel cycle road with car roads in cities, villages and high ways. Make cycling safe and comfortable. Make driving expensive by imposing high tax.
  2. Make public transport comfortable, family and disable friendly, affordable, efficient and available.
  3. Changing the habit of our people on consuming energy. Japan has many heavy industries and Japan too is world’s most energy efficient countries. We can learn a lot from Japan on Energy efficiency.

 

The other environmental issue is soil erosion and environmental denigration that comes from human waste, dumping industrial and household waste, old fashioned farming, animal grassing, and deforestation. To tackle those problems-

  1. To outlaw it and making it socially unacceptable urinating outside toilet within five years from the start of the revolution.
  2. within three years to make 100% our population use electrical or gas appliance to prepare their food, washes and clean their stuff.
  • Within five years to outlaw old fashioned farming and animal grassing by providing other employment or give them intensives to change to modern industrial farming with enforcement.
  1. We will implement strict recycling, banning graffiti, banning litter dropping law and making it socially unacceptable not to recycle, dropping litter, writing graffiti on walls.
  2. There will be strict very high standard of international measurement to regulate on recycling and managing industrial waste.
  3. We will have Sewage treatment and industrial wastewater treatment that recycle 100% of our sewage and industrial wastewater and re-use again.
  • We will recycle at least 100% our solid waste and incineration the 100% our solid waste.
  • 20 years from the start of the industrial revolution 40% of Eritrea’s land will be covered by forest.
