Our goal must be about ensuring quality and affordable basic medical services for all. Every citizen must have aces to health care. At the same time, we must promotes healthy living and preventive health programmes as well as maintains high standards of living, clean water and hygiene to achieve better health for all. All local governments will have legal obligation to buy the same medical insurance coverage for all their citizens and their foreign residents regardless his income that cover all disease and accidents from the medical insurance company that will be owned by national government.
Our healthcare system will be designed to ensure that everyone has access to different levels of healthcare in a timely, cost-effective and seamless manner. Our healthcare services will be accessible through a wide network of primary, acute and step-down care providers who can be private for profit, non-profit organizations or community owned organizations. The Ministry of Health and its statutory boards will regulate both the public and private providers of healthcare. To ensure that patients are treated safely with good healthcare standards, the Ministry of Health will strives to promote better quality and innovation through various initiatives. We must have 100% control of human and animal movement in our borders with Sudan, Ethiopia and Djibouti to prevent diseases. Outbreak of Polio is common in Sudan, Ethiopia and Djibouti.
A research report, which was put together by the International Livestock Research Institute, the UK Institute of Zoology and the Hanoi School of Public Health, concludes that the highest rates of human-animal disease transfer occur in Ethiopia, Nigeria, Tanzania and India.
