Housing

Every local governments will have legal obligation to house its citizen in high standard houses within limited time. So local government will house their citizens 100% within ten years.

To make Eritrea unique and different from the Gulf States, Egypt, Tunisia and other regional competitors and as a statement to our ancient civilization we will ban any modern architect design in all our cities and villages in residential, industrial, cultural, sport facility and office complexes. We must build the most beautiful cities, towns, villages, infrastructures, and landscapes in the world that are efficient, simplest, clean, family friendly, and sustainable. And all they must reflect our Eritrean Geez heritage, culture and identity. Our architect will be a mix of European neo-classic and art Deco design.

In our Ge’ez history and culture housing is basic right not privilege. In our modern era comfortable, efficient and affordable housing is basic human right of our citizens. The main objective of our housing policy is to secure affordable, accessible, efficient houses for every citizen and immigrant worker. Having affordable, accessible and efficient houses will make our country economically competitive and our economy growth sustainable.

We will have segregated housing policy for immigrants and natives. Our housing main strategic goals.  All housing developments must be mixed of expensive, average and low price houses or must be housing development that will make high, middle and low earners live together in mix neighbourhoods. There was no rich or poor neighbourhood in our villages in the entire Tigrigna civilization except those ugly colonizers build cities like Asmara. Any neighbourhood in the cities and any village will have its own church, park/green area, sport facilities and infrastructure, cultural and social facilities/ infrastructure.

 

All electrical and telecommunication cables, grids and sub-power stations will be underground in all Eritrean cities, villages and in all the highland landscape of Eritrea.

Every building and infrastructure will be earthquake proof/resistance.  Every government and public building that is commercial or non commercial would be by law disable people accessible and friendly. All railway trucks in highland and in all our cities will be underground. Heating and cooling system in every village and city will be centralized.  All motorways and all main roads will have separate bicycle lane. Every garage and car parking will have electric plug for charging a car battery.

We will have national rain water conservation system that saves every drop of water from our cities, villages and mountains and an efficient water distribution system for human drinking and consuming.  We will have the national sewage system completely separate from the national rain water conservation system that collect liquid waste from our cities, villages and industries with a sewage recycling site and a distribution system for gardening, road cleaning, and other use.    We will build a new capital city from the scratch in north to Asmara on the Hills looking Durfo and Semenawi Bahri hills and mountains. It will be named Kidane CITY after martyr Kidane Kiflu the founding father of Eritrean Ge’ez nationalist movement.
