EPLF greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time it falls. EPLF organized the Tigrigna for its coming destiny. The main EPLF legacies are resilience and discipline of organization. Our future success will depend on our resilience and organizations. We are grateful for these factual and hard lessons.
Social Contacts
We need to renew our ancient two social contacts that are articulated in our ሕጊ እንዳ’ባ in our new nation’s constitution that we have to draft. Any country that has no clearly defined social contract that will be honoured voluntarily by the people and the rulers will have no social trust. Any country that has no social trust will have no real freedom, democracy, social justice, high level economic and cultural development. The people and the rulers honour their social contract because it represents their history, identity, value system and destiny. ሕጊ እንዳ’ባ is ours that we wrote it. ሕጊ እንዳ’ባ had created a society that everyone has a stake in society, protection, dignity and freedom. ሕጊ እንዳ’ባ had created a strong sense of identity and belonging that we called it today Eritrean by mistake.
The myth of Eritrea national cultural national identity is manufactured by Italians to advance their economic and cultural interests. Italian colonizer they created new indigenous ruling class this new ruling class named itself Eritrea national cultural national identity. All today’s elite ideologue of Eritrea national cultural national identity from PFDJ and exiled opposition are third and fourth generation of the Italian created ruling class.
ሕጊእንዳ’ባ is our national cultural identity. That’s why we suffer, died, bleed and cry to protect our Ge’ez national cultural identity. We have to tear down the PFDJ constitution because it was written to destroy ሕጊ እንዳ’ባ in order to manufacture new Eritrean cultural identity in its place by corrupt greedy ruling class that’s been created by the Italian colonizer who created Eritrea. Since the creation of Eritrea in 1890 and imposing foreign laws on us that we lost our family, our identity, our freedom, our dignity and our humanity. The history of ሕጊ እንዳ’ባ is about family, identity, freedom, dignity, justice, humanity. The history of Eritrea since its creation is about humiliation, slavery, death, exiling, injustice, poverty, ignorance, lawlessness, dictatorship.
The Italians, the British and Amhara/Ethiopian are not colonized us any more direct but still they colonize and humiliate us every second, every hour, every day, every week, every month, every year through their laws and its values that they imposed on us when they occupied our country that is now enforced by our ruling class who became their local proxy. Despite hundreds of thousands of our youth sacrifice we have paid since 1890 to restore our ሕጊእንዳ’ባ with its values still we are not free people yet. We will be free people only when we governed by our ሕጊእንዳ’ባ and its values. We can build trust on each other and with our rulers only when we are free people because it is impossible to separate trust from freedom and transparency.
Will have two social contracts that are
1, Between citizen and government
2, Between past, present and future generation
impossible to separate trust and freedom.
Social Contract Between citizen and government
A citizen has an obligation to be
1, virtuous,
2, to believe in life time education,
3, to do military service for 2-3 years between the age of 17 -25 and to be in reserve army until the age of 48,
4, to be hard working, honest, patriotic and
5, law abiding citizens.
The government will have an obligation
A, to protect and secure the citizen safety and dignity,
B, the government must create and provide jobs,
C, the government must provide money for balanced nutritionist food when any citizen has no or low income,
D, the government must provide free housing when any citizen has no or low income,
E, the government must provide free quality education for everyone from nursery to secondary school,
F the government must provide free career development money for lower and middle income citizens
G, the government must provide interest free loan for university education.
H, the government must pay health care insurance when any citizen has no or low income,
I, the government must provide legal aid to sue anyone including government or defend himself/herself in courts, police stations etc and the government must provide legal protection for believing, speaking, writing and thinking freely in media, public area, meetings etc.
This social contract between citizen and government will be honoured and enforced fully by the elected local, regional and national democratically elected parliaments.
At the sometime this social contact will be honoured and enforced only when our economy growth. Our economy will be grow fast only when we create economic, civil service, judiciaries, educational, cultural etc institutions led and managed by competent and experienced experts. By the executive branch and on behalf of the citizens by its elected representative. it is impossible to separate trust and freedom.

Social Contract Between past, present and future generations
We have an obligation to our forefathers to maintain and develop their traditions, sprit, hope, legacy, history and memories.
We have obligation
This social contact will be honoured and enforced by an unelected the upper house of national parliament. Western democracy is undermined by capitalism and business interests. Capitalism is destroying nations and communities in search of cheap labour and market. We will use capitalism only to generate wealth and jobs. The dead and the unborn couldn’t elect representative that defend and advance their interest. So unelected wise men and women who have no obligation for the living.
A, to pass our forefathers identity, history, value system and traditions to our children and grandchildren. We must pass it by to maintaining and developing our value system, by researching and writing our history, by developing our languages,
B, to protect and developing our environment ,
C, to keep and maintain low or manageable financial debt of our governments and companies.
D, to invest on future by building long term strategic infrastructures
