Tribes and Clans
PFDJ policy was to transform the Eritrean tribal and clan minority socio-economic by transferring wealth from Tigrigna people to them and by mix them with Tigrigna people like through national service, because to have common national identity you need to have common socio-economic background. PFDJ has failed to create the nine ethnics Eritrean national identity because when the tribal and clan get educated became more Arab nationalist or Islamist. This was not in PFDJ calculations and imagination.
PFDJ has succeeded in transforming the life standard of the Eritrean tribal’s and clans beyond imagination. Today Eritrea’s tribes and clans have Africa’s first class tribal and clan living standard. To prove this, take a look at the living standard of the same tribal’s and clans ethnics in East Sudan and Afar region of Ethiopia or Djibouti. There is no tribal and clan child who die from hunger, malaria or lack of vaccination in Eritrea.
The free health care, free education, the infrastructures in tribal and clan area, the law enforcements institutions in tribal and clan area etc are paid by enslaving and by taxing heavily the Tigrigna people. It is impossible to provide those free services for Eritrean tribes and clans without enslaving and by taxing heavily the Tigrigna people.
The fighters who joined EPLF in 1970s to protect his Ge’ez land, identity, history and values system became slaves with their grand-grand children in order to finance PFDJ political project. But their grand-grand children are fleeing slavery to exile in mass. The 1970s, 80s, 90s fighters are dying losing their dream, their family, their land, their children who were their future. Because of these reasons they are committing slow suicide by drinking alcohol, smoking and by deep depression. This is ethnic cleansing.
Aga’azianist means is strong believe in social justice. I believe in fair distribution of wealth and welfare state. We must expand PFDJ miraculous achievement in tribal and clan area but without enslaving the Tigrigna.
According World Bank business friendly countries ranking from 2007- 2015, Eritrea is world’s number one business and entrepreneur hostile and unfriendly country in the world. According to internetlivestats.com that there are only 59,800 internet users from 6.5 million population or 0.9% internet penetration in 2014 in Eritrea that is the lowest in the world. Eritrea is the only country with Liberia in the world without broadband or fast internet. All these are done as deliberate policy to drive out the entire Tigrigna middle class and entrepreneurship class out of Eritrea.
If we expand the taxpaying base from today’s 40-50% to 90-95% and leave the Tigrigna free to study, free to work, free to trade, free to build business by taxing them little that it will be
A, it will make Eritrea very fair, secure, stable, peaceful and democratic
B, it will be affirmative action for the systematic ethnic cleansing of Tigrigna people in Eritrea in the last 500 years.
C, it will make Eritrea Horn of Africa regional super-power easily
D, it will make the economy easy to grow and expand
E, it will make easy to fund the free health care, free education, the infrastructures in tribal and clan area,
F, it will make easy to fund the law enforcements institutions in tribal and clan area etc.
If you ask 100 people who have $150 per month income to raise $10,000 every month that each person has to contribute $100. But if ask 1000 people who have $150 per month income to raise $10,000 every month that each person has to contribute only $10. $100 per month is unbearable tax burden and unfair for a citizen who has $150 income per-month. But $10 per month tax is fair and easy to pay for a citizen who has $150 income per-month. Resettling three million Tegaru in Eritrea is more about bringing people who share the burden and responsibility.
All social programmes, infrastructure projects, security expenses etc in tribal and clan area in Eritrea is funded by enslaving and over taxing the Tigrigna people. Over 80% other national incomes like income from mining, fishing, international aid etc is spend on tribal and clan areas. Without free slave labour there will be no social programmes, infrastructure projects, security etc in Eritrea’s tribal and clan areas. The very low and insignificant health care and education services in Ethiopia Afar region and East Sudan tribal and clan area is fully funded and managed by NGO.
Eritrea Without increasing the Tigrigna people demographics in Eritrea above 90% that it is impossible for the Eritrea economy to grow and to create egalitarian and prosperous society. By creating autonomous administrations for each of tribal and clan ethnics we can distribute wealth easily and leave them alone to practice their culture and religion freely.
As indigenous people of Eritrea the Tigrigna people are the only people who have collective right for self determination in Eritrea. Eritrea national identity, laws, values, democracy etc will be determined by Tigrigna people of Eritrea. Eritrea as nation-state of Ge’ez/Tigrigna/Tigray people will reflect fundamental values of our Orit religion and Ge’ez traditions that every human being is created by the image of God, every human being has in inalienable right to be free, Saturday must be day of rest, all Orit Tigrigna festivals holidays must be our country national holidays, Tigrigna/Tigre/Ge’ez will be our national languages, the Ge’ez Monorah will be in our national flag and emblem, the Orit is our national literature as well as our religious literature must be studied by every Tigrigna in our schools but no one can be forced to practice any ritual he/she doesn’t want to practice. From Orit perspective religious coercion is oxymoron.
At the same time all immigrant tribes and clans men and women will have democratic rights to live in with equality, dignity and freedom as individual citizens of Eritrea.
The Tigrigna people paid 99% of Eritrea’s independence price because they are only people in Eritrea who had very high expectation, standard and aspiration. After the independence, the only people leaving Eritrea in mass are the Tigrigna because the independent nation-state of Eritrea doest meets their expectation, standard and aspiration. The Eritrean tribes and clans has to understand without the Tigrigna people Eritrea will be like Somalia that Somali clans fight each other or like East Sudan and Afar region of Ethiopia that has no education, health, transport etc system and thousands of people die every day from malaria, infections and hungers. Tigrigna people high expectation, standard and aspiration are good for the minority tribes and clans because they will share the fruits of high expectation, standard and aspiration.
We must give land and resources inside Eritrea for mass resettlement programme for the peoples of ዓጋመ, ሽረ, ዓድዋ, ቴንቤን, አኽሱም , ኽልተ ላዕለዉ , ራያ ዓዘቦ, እንድርታ , ወልቃይት in Eritrea’s costal area and east and west lowlands in order to create real and authentic Ge’ez/Tigrigna national cultural identity overnight. We must create new administrations for these group settlers that respect and sustain their local patriotism, identity, history and tradition. Like all local administrations that government must hire world’s first class Western technocrats, bureaucrat, scientists, managers, engineers etc for them that would able them to build world’s first class sophisticated and efficient administration or governances and economic system automatically over night and to transfer technology and modern management know how, they will set-up their local and regional Saving and Investment Fund (SIF), own industrial zones and commercial farming.
This will make Eritrea the only homogenous African nation-state that has social trust. Democracy, rule of law, social justice, freedom, and prosperity comes only when you have social trust. Eritrean tribes and clans will benefit greatly from democracy, rule of law, social justice, freedom, prosperity rule of law and prosperity. Making Eritrea nation-state of Ge’ez/Tigrigna people will benefit the Eritrean Tigrigna people and tribal and clan minority equally.
We can start easily by creating millions of well paid of jobs within a year by creating low tech multibillion industries like textile, trading foreign manufactured goods and logistics/transport/storage services, shoes making, ships scrapping/breaking, fishing, fishing farming, animal and plants farming, and food processing industry.
If we created competent, credible, transparent and stable legal and political system that can be trusted by Western and Asian institutional investors that we can raise the necessary capital to finance our commercial and social projects from Western and Asian financial markets easily at the lowest rate. That’s what Dubai and Qatar do, use Western managers, bureaucrats and capital to build world’s first class industries and to raise funds at lowest rate to finance their industries.
