Tigray Economy

In the second Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP II)  TPLF/EPRDF is building biggest industrial zone in Ethiopia in ድሬዳዋ, አዳማ, አዋሳ and ኮምቦልቻ because they are the nearest Ethiopian city to Djibouti port. But ዓዲግራት, ዓድዋ, አክሱም, ሽረ, ዉቅሮ etc are much closer to Sea port than ድሬዳዋ, አዳማ, አዋሳ and ኮምቦልቻ or more than any Ethiopian cities. Tigray is strategically located in the centre and main artery of Ethiopian economic activity because its proximity to Sea port and its pleasant weather.

Tigray cities are cut off from Sea ports by PFDJ in order to make them economical unviable and uncompetitive by making them artificially remotest place in Ethiopia and front line because they are TPLF/EPRDF ደጀን or social base. By killing Tigray and its cities economy PFDJ is killing TPLF/EPRDF slowly.

Instead reconnecting Tigray and its cities to Sea port again to make them centre and main artery of Ethiopian economic activity the most competitive and economically viable cities in Ethiopia that investors choose to invest by making the overthrow of PFDJ its number one agenda TPLF/EPRDF had chosen to abandoned Tigray and its cities by excluding them from its GTP II. Tigray is excluded from TPLF project making Ethiopia a middle income country in 2025. Tigray is abandon to be permanently military bases for TPLF/EPRDF multinational army. There many hard evidences and data’s that prove TPLF/EPRDF multiethnic army is destroying Tigray identity and spreading aids other communicable diseases. Tigray and its cities are the remotest place in Ethiopia and front line that are very uncompetitive cities. Ethiopia Industrial Parks Development Corp planned to create industrial zone in Mek’ele city in future but yet no work has been started in the ground because Mek’ele is too far away from Djibouti Port and it is uncompetitive remote and front line city.

Tigray economy has been bankrupted many years ago. There no private or EFORT owned company in Tigray that can survive without subside. There is job opportunity in Tigray. TPLF is draing Tigray best talent to its central government works. Tigray youth is leaving Tigray for exile in mass. 75% of Tigray regional government budget is aid that comes as subside from federal government.

TPLF is committing slow suicide by abandoning and neglecting Tigray people and its cities that are its heart and lang. TPLF has no life without Tigray people and Tigray economy has no life without Massawa port.
